Husky Burnette: Preacher Man: Muddy Roots Festival: Cookeville TN: Summer 2010

Snake Oil Salvation from Husky Burnette and Burma Shave - www.myspace.com The Blues are a religion and Brian "Husky" Burnette sho nuff preaches it. You can feel the testimony as he blends Mississippi Delta guitar licks with Rock n Roll, Electric Blues and Attitude. His music is gritty, soulful, southern, deep-fried, low-down and dirty. Husky, following in the family footsteps of Rockabilly Kings Johnny Burnette and Billy Burnette, has written and toured with several national artists over the years. Two of which that stand out are lead guitar for legendary singer/songwriter Roger Alan Wade and the supporting act on tour for Hank Williams III. He has shared the stage with many others such as Guy Clark, T-Model Ford, Scott H. Biram, Emmylou Harris, Billy Joe Shaver and Th' Legendary Shack Shakers. In 2005, after leaving his road band, Husky Burnette set out to do his own thing, as a solo artist with a drummer behind him. He hit the road and toured the United States, releasing the EP 'Snake Oil Salvation' in 2007. In 2009, Husky won the FYI Awards 'Best Blues Band' award in Tennessee. Husky continues to tour nationally with drummer Burma Shave backing him up to complete the two-man-band, playing up to 150 shows a year. 2010 sees the release of a brand new full length entitled, 'Done Got Bad (and Bloody)', as well as a live album, 'Givin' It Hell...Live!'. Keep an eye out folks, he's bringin' this brand of Dirty Hillbilly Blues Religion to the masses.
